Healing in Batam

Our family were on a short holiday in Batam this past week.

During one of the meals, I noticed our waiter stretching his neck in a way that indicated it was hurting.

When he next came to our table, I asked him if he had neck pain, but he said no.

One his next stop by our table, I asked him if he was sure, and he replied that actually yes, he was having pain in his neck, perhaps caused by a bad sleeping position the night before.

I said to him, here, let me show you something.

I laid hands on him, said a short and to the point prayer, commanding healing and life into the whole region.

His face was so surprised as he exclaimed, 'It's gone! How did you do that?'

We shared with him that Jesus had healed him and he had a huge smile on his face as he went back to work.

Praying in ICU

Earlier, I was at the NUH ICU, praying for someone who was unconscious.

Just as I was commanding the spirit of oppression to leave without manifesting, he manifested. He was coughing so violently and his body was heaving up from the bed. It gave me a shock for a second. This was the first time I was dealing with something like this.

I commanded it again "no, you will NOT manifest!" And spoke peace over the man.

What a difference after that! He was so peaceful, laying there. There were slight movements occasionally and we left as they came to feed him through the tubes. I am believing that he will wake from his coma.

Sprained Ankle

I met a person who was riding pillion on a bicycle. Her foot got stuck in the wheels and got sprained/twisted as a result.

I spoke healing over her ankle a few times, and watched as the pain level subsided and disappeared.

I challenged her to hop on the injured foot and she did. No pain! She took off her bandage to figure out what had happened!

More Lord!

Playground Healing

We received a report about a boy with autism I prayed for in October. I was with my family at a playground when we noticed this boy and spoke to his helper asking if I could pray for him.

Seeing as he wouldn't stay still at the time, we played a game. He would place his hands on my palms and count to ten. While he did that, I looked into his eyes and smiling, spoke the peace of God over him and said "I set you free from every oppression in Jesus name. Mind be healed, be set free." And that was it. 10 seconds and off he went again.

Well, my wife met the helper again this week and she says that he's different! He's able to listen and understand when she talks to him now.

She told her boss about what happened and she told her to thank my wife and I! Incredible!

We continue to believe that he will continue to recover in Jesus' name!

Man.. I'm blown away. Believers shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. That's what the bible says. Thank you, Lord, for Your sacrifice and obedience. Help us do the same. So lost for words...

Healing in the Morning

Early morning testimony! A guy got in the same lift as I was in and I "noticed" that he was sighing and bending over and clutching his back. But because I was preoccupied with checking my gear for work, it didn't occur to me to pray for him until he got out of the lift and walked ahead.

So I asked God, how shall I approach him? Suddenly the guy turned back towards me and waited for me to catch up because he wanted to show me something in his newspaper! I was taken aback but acted all cool like, of course everyone shows me their newspapers everyday...

I got to ask him about his back and he declined prayer saying it's only an ache but I insisted and after a few rounds of prayer he said his back feels fresh! I said, don't bluff! And he insisted its 100%. C'mon God!

Once I reached work, I healed another! They had stomach pain at a level 6, which went down to 5.5 after prayer and then disappeared when I told him to walk around!! Thank You, Jesus!

Elderly Woman in a Wheelchair

My wife and I prayed for an elderly woman in a wheelchair. Communicating in what little Mandarin I know, we tried to find out what happened but the explanation was too complex for me to understand. She may have had a stroke.

So we didn't know what was wrong with her but we knew something wasn't right so we took her hand and prayed.

She didn't jump out of her wheelchair but there was a visible change in her face and body posture, as if her entire body went "aaaaah..." and relaxed!

Incredible.

In the meantime, we'll keep believing that the seed of healing has been planted and it's going to consume every part that isn't working right.

I absolutely loved this opportunity to minister with my wife and have my kids watch and learn!

UPDATE: 31st OCTOBER 2016

An update on the lady who was in a wheelchair yesterday. We saw her OUT OF HER WHEELCHAIR TODAY! We spoke with her and noticed that she has some speaking difficulty so we'll be praying for that next but she kept giving us a thumbs-up and waving enthusiastically as we left turning around and telling people next to her what we did for her.

So there are times when what we pray for doesn't happen immediately but may happen later. We stand in faith and believe that the healing process has already begun in their bodies.

Today while grocery shopping, I had the chance to pray for an elderly man who had suffered 3 strokes, walking with a cane and a lady recovering from major surgery on her leg which could not be used for a few months and caused the muscles to deteriorate. In both cases, they did not have pain or display any signs of improvement, but my job now is to stand upon the truth that healing has begun in their bodies.

Holyween 2016

What a night! We had about 4-5 cases of healing while we were walking about.

1) A teammate joining us for the first time had a wrist strain for about 2 months. Healed!
2) A Sri Lankan dentist with a bad back, Healed!
3) An old classmate of mine had her neck Healed.
4) Her husband had his knees and calves Healed!
5) A domestic worker we prayed for experienced warmth over her back as we prayed.

This is what the everyday Christian life should look like, just like the book of Acts. It's time to leave our traditions aside and go out and do something that the Bible talks about! C'mon!
